Start
Getting started
Your first take in Recaloo: write a script, set up the studio, record, keep the take and copy its chapters. About fifteen minutes.
Requirements
What Recaloo needs: a current browser, a camera and microphone, and which features need Chrome or Edge. What is different on a phone.
Plans and limits
What the Recaloo plans count: kept recordings, 200 on Pro, 400 on Premium and 1000 on Max. Recording itself is not limited. What a plan does not include.
Write
Write a script
The Recaloo script format: # topics, - bullet points and plain full-text lines, read as topics, bullets or every word, with pace and text size.
Rehearse and pace
How to rehearse a Recaloo script full-screen, choose a pace, and use the teleprompter over the video, beside it or in the pop-out.
Record
Layouts
The four Recaloo layouts, camera, bubble, side by side and content, how to switch with the keys 1 to 4, the morph and the chapters it creates.
The face bubble
The Recaloo face bubble: nine shapes, nine positions, size, border, shadow, camera zoom and mirror, and how to place it with the keys.
Background
Blur, remove or replace the background in Recaloo with engines that run in your browser, a chroma key for green screens, and what is loaded from third parties.
Content on stage
What you can put on stage in Recaloo next to your face: a screen, window or tab, a website, a PDF, the scratchpad or a picture.
Ink, shots and keys
The Recaloo ink tools, screenshots and keys: pen, highlighter, arrow, laser, S for a screenshot, and how to see every key with the question mark.
Recording and formats
How a Recaloo take is recorded in the browser: MP4 or WebM, crash recovery in the browser's private storage, countdown, pause, and what is uploaded.
Pop-out control bar
The Recaloo pop-out control bar: a small window above every app with timer, record, layouts, screenshot and ink, for recording your screen. Chrome and Edge.
Keep
Kept recordings
What happens when you keep a Recaloo take: it is stored with your account with its layouts, marks and screenshots, chapters you can copy, and an optional copy in Media.
Looks
Save a Recaloo studio setup as a Look: layout, bubble, border, background and framing, and set one as the default that the studio opens with.
